Thelonius Ulysses Fidd

Thelonius Fidd was born in Peebles, Scotland to peasants. At the age of six he was accepted into apprenticeship to Master Taylor, Ichabod Taylor. For many years he obeyed master Ichabod and learned all that he could. Fortunately Ichabod Taylor was not the best at business, at the age of 15 Thelonius took over Ichabod's shop. Thelonius eventually met Miranda, a beautiful maiden who was the daughter of the local sheriff, however, she was betrothed to Samuel Baker. When she became with child, Thelonius tried to do the right thing and went to her father to ask for her hand in marriage. Her father would hear none of it and chased him off. Miranda's father swore that he would kill Thelonius if he ever set eyes on him again. With that, Thelonius packed up his shop and went to London.

After about a year Thelonius saw Miranda's father in a crowd in London. He was just able to escape with his life. The following morning Thelonius arranged for passage out of England to Denmark through the Hanseatic League. He met up with Bridget O'Beyme in a wharf tavern after arriving in Copenhagen. A few bawdy tunes and a pint or five later, he was introduced to the Hansgraf of the Bergen Charter of the Hanseatic League. After many more pints and bawdy tunes it was arranged for Thelonius to join the caravan. Thelonius has to return to London from time to time to attend to his business affairs, but always with a careful eye on the crowd.
