Andreas Fuchs, the Navigator for this arm of the Hanseatic League, is also the Ale & Spirit founder. An Ale founder was the individual responsible for establishing and verifying the quality of ale sold in public houses. As the Ale & Spirit founder, Andreas verifies the proof and quality of the spirits and ale that this caravan buys, sells, and consumes. Gunpowder and fire are the tools he uses to determine the proof of the spirits. Spirits are underproof, proofed, or overproof, depending on the results.

Andreas hails from Landshut, located in Bavaria. He is a learned man, having studied in Italy, Arabia, Germany, and England, and has traveled as far as the Northern reaches of Africa and as far east as Russia. While usually quiet, he is always eager to discuss language, the arts, and philosophy, especially over a drink. Little is known of his lineage beyond his ties to the great city of Landshut.
