Andreas Fuchs
Andreas Fuchs, the Navigator for this arm of the Hanseatic League, is also the Ale founder. An Ale founder is a certified position, and is the individual responsible for establishing and verifying the quality of the ale sold in public houses and verifies that the earthenware mugs bear the appropriate seals and marks to ensure proper measure. As the Ale founder for this arm of the Hanseatic League, Andreas verifies the quality and measure of the ale that this caravan buys, sells, and consumes. When not directly working for the League, he hires his skills out to local public houses in the cities where the caravan stops. This allows him to gain information about hazards on the road ahead as well as ensuring a warm meal, good company, and a soft bed, to regain his strength for the challenges on the road. Having a slightly fatter purse never hurts either.
Andreas hails from Landshut, located in Bavaria. He is a learned man, having studied in Italy, Arabia, Germany, and England, and has traveled as far as the Northern reaches of Africa and as far east as Russia. While usually quiet, he is always eager to discuss language, the arts, and philosophy, especially over a drink. Little is known of his lineage beyond his ties to the great city of Landshut.
